Configuration Map Updates For v634

In order to upgrade to v634 the following configmap parameters need to be added for users Sysdig Monitor via Kubnernetes. This guide assumes that you are currently running v591 or later of Sysdig Monitor.

Configmap Changes:

1. Either get the current configuration (you can use also a versioned one if available):

kubectl get configmap sysdigcloud-config --namespace sysdigcloud -o yaml > current_config.yaml
cp current_config.yaml new_config.yaml

Or, edit config map inline:

kubectl edit configmap/sysdigcloud-config --namespace sysdigcloud

2. Edit new_config.yaml or use inline edit and add the new parameters alongside existing config under “data”:

# Optional: Enable cassandra internodes and client encryption
cassandra.ssl.enabled: "false"
# Optional: Specify Cassandra cipher suites to use. This option is available only when using external cassandra clusters.
# Comma separated value. Example: "TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384,TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA"
cassandra.ssl.ciphers: ""
# Required: CQL native clients port
cassandra.port: "9042"

3. Finally, apply the new config file with:

kubectl replace -f new_config.yaml --namespace sysdigcloud

Once the above steps are completed, finish your Kubernetes upgrade using the follow the instructions described here:
